A partnership between Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Artful Travelers and your local PBS stations across America, this 14-night itinerary begins in Lisbon, Portugal and travels to exciting Bilboa, plus ports of call in Ireland and Wales, with an overnight in the wine lover’s paradise of Bordeaux, before disembarking in Southampton, all the while offering travelers access to some of the country’s most fascinating people – those with their fingers on the pulse of politics, history, current events, finance, and the arts. A special programming focus will comemmorate the anniversary of the end of WWII, with an optional shore excursion to the D Day landing beaches and other exploratory endeavors and presentations from expert voices in the fields of history and military.

Supporters and friends of PBS will gather to celebrate the acclaimed history, news and current events programming of public broadcasting entities in America, aboard the award-winning Regent Seven Seas Explorer. This adventure will showcase four acclaimed PBS productions chronicling the major military conflicts of the 20th century: World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Producers and filmmakers will discuss these conflicts and their other works as the voyage visits some of the finest ports in Europe. Learning leisure at its absolute finest.
